Overview
The EOTec 2000 Multi-Node MX Multiplexer can manage up to 1024 inputs to an unlimited number of outputs of analog or digital electrical information, over a bi-directional pair of daisy-chain or self-healing ring fiber optic cables. Input/Output module selections include 4-20mA, 0-10VDC, and contact closures. The base unit connects directly to the fiber optic cable via Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) transceivers and provides visual indicators for power, global alarm, module status as well as the fiber link status. Each base unit has two optional transceiver ports supporting both 1300nm and 1550nm wavelengths for both multi-mode or single mode optical fiber. An integrated backplane allows for communications from the base unit to the input/output modules with no need for external inter-modular connections. No programming is required, as input/output configuration is derived via a one-time dip-switch configuration. Power is supplied through redundant external 24VDC power supply terminals. Applications for our Multiplexers include remote data acquisition, emissions monitoring, data and signal transmission, in lightning prone locations and hazardous areas, tank gauging, and conveyors. |

Overview
EOTec 2000 Multiplexers can send up to sixteen channels of bi-directional electrical information over a pair of fiber optic cable. Input/Output module selections include 4-20mA, 0-10VDC, contact closure and RS-232/485. The base unit connects directly to the fiber optic cable and provides a visual indication of the fiber link status. Each base unit has a duplex optical port configured for use with 1300nm wavelength, multi-mode or single mode optical fiber. An integrated backplane allows for communications from the base unit to the input/output modules with no external inter-modular connection. No programming is required. Power is supplied through an external 24VDC power supply. Applications for NSPI fiber optic Mulitplexers include remote analog data acquisition, Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems at coal fired power plants, data transmission on wind turbines and signal transmission in lightning prone locations and hazardous areas.

Overview
NSPI manufactures modules for 4-20mA, 0-10V, RS-232 and contact closure applications. The base unit (or brain) connects to the fiber optic cable and provides visual indication of fiber link status. Information is received from up to four input modules that can be cascaded. Each module has a partner module installed on the corresponding base unit. An integrated backplane allows for communications between modules with no external inter-modular connection. Installation and commissioning is fast and simple — no programming is required.
Power supply options:
The base unit and all its connected input/output modules can receive power from the standard EOTec 2000 power supplies (120/240VAC, 125VDC or 24VDC) or from an external 24VDC power supply connected directly to the base unit through a pluggable screw terminal connection.
Typical applications:
Typical applications include remote analog data transmission over long distances, smoke stack emissions monitoring instrumentation, windmills (wind turbines) and extensions of DCS or PLC systems. Each base unit has a duplex optical port for use with multi-mode or single mode optical fiber with transmissions at 1300 nm using industrialized ST/SMA connectors. |
